¡¡¡¡The AAM or AAO template is fabricated by anode oxidation with pure aluminum in acid solution.The nano-pore of the AAM or AAO can be adjusted in the range of 10-200nm and the density of nano-pore can reach to109-1012/in2.Because the nanostructure of AAM or AAO will determine the properties and the spatial order of the prepared material,fabrication of high quality of AAM or AAO is a key step for synthesis of nanostructure materials with the template.

¡¡¡¡Currently,controllable growth of nanostructure is a dominating issue and is a challenging problem.The AAM or AAO template as an effective tool has been widely adopted to fabricate nanowire and nanotube arrays,it enables control the uniform size and shape of nanowire or nanotube arrays on a large scale,and more importantly it makes it possible to design delicate nanodevices.Particularly,in the area of ultra-high-density magnetic storage,magnetic nanowire or nanotube arrays fabricated by the AAM as information storage media can achieve recoding densities of more than 100 Gbit/in2,far beyond the predicted thermal limits of 40 Gbit/in2 in continuous magnetic film.Except as a template,AAM or AAO will be applied to purification and separations as a filtrate film,applied to the field of biomedicine as a semipermeable film,applied to catalytic reaction,physical and chemical adsorption as carrier,it is also applied to gas sensor as a nanodevice and applied to optical switch as a polarimeter.
